PREREQUISITES
Must have multiple copies of software accessing .QCC files across a network.

INTRODUCTION
By default QC-CALC Real-Time creates a local Assignable Cause file when it is installed. If many copies of QC-CALC Real-Time each have their own Assignable Cause file, then they will eventually become out-of-sync. There is a setting that tells QC-CALC where the Assignable Cause file is located. If you point all of your copies of software to the same file stored on a network drive, then they will all have the same information. Any changes or additions will be received by all copies of QC-CALC Real-Time or QC-CALC SPC.

STEPS

  1. Copy your local Assignable Cause file from "C:\Prolink\QC-CALC 3.3\" to a network drive that all copies of the software will be able to access.
  2. Choose the Tools > Options menu to bring up the Settings screen.
  3. Click on the Assignable Cause / Action tab and use the Browse button in the Assignable Cause File area and a file dialog box will appear.
  4. Choose the Assignable Cause file that you copied to your network drive, and click Open.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the Corrective Action file.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 on all copies of QC-CALC.
