The error below started occurring on QC-CALC 3.4 and QC-Gage 3.4 in September 2022. The problem was traced to .NET Framework 4.8.1 which was released in August 2022. This new .NET Framework is not used by Prolink applications, but it is part of Windows 11 and some company are pushing it to other computers to stay up to date.
To check .NET Framework version:
- Run regedit.msc
- Go to the registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full
The Release key will be 533325 when .NET Framework 4.8.1 is installed on Windows 10.
As of 2023, updating QC-CALC Real-Time or QC-Gage to the latest revision of 3.4 will fix this error. You can do so by visiting the Downloads page on our website: https://www.prolinksoftware.com/download_list.aspx
