Symptom

The data displayed in your Plots is either "squished" so small that you can't read it, or it's not even visible at all.

Cause

Possible cause: The Vertical Range of your Plots are set wrong. This range is determined by the highest and lowest values among the following 4 items:

Upper Control Limit, Lower Control Limit, Upper Spec Limit (Nominal + Upper Tol), Lower Spec Limit (Nominal + Lower Tol). If you have not yet set your Control Limits then they will default to zero and your Plots' Range will be skewed badly.

Resolution 3.0 - 3.3

In QC-CALC SPC you can click the Edit - Nominals and Tolerances menu and edit the Tolerances and Control Limits. In QC-CALC Real-Time you can edit them both in the Point Properties window. You can also use the "Calculate Limits" function to clean up your graphs.

Resolution 3.4 - 4.x

A setting was added in the 3.4 version of QC-CALC Real-Time to help with this situation. The Tools > Options > Configure Plots > Items to Show > Plot Height Settings area can be used to make the plots show all points or specify a percentage above and below the spec limits to use.

Applies To

QC-CALC Real-Time v.4.1
QC-CALC Real-Time v.4.0
QC-CALC Real-Time v.3.4
