How to reset and/or troubleshoot Administrative Tools in QC-CALC Real-Time

This article will walk you through any resetting and troubleshooting processes for the Admin Tool in QC-CALC Real-Time 4.0. Please follow the instructions below to help with these situations. This article assumes you have QC-CALC Real-Time 4.0 installed and activated.

DISCONNECTING

  • You can disconnect from Administrative Tools by using the Administrative Tools > Disconnect from Admin Path… menu. You will be prompted to enter your admin password in order to disconnect.

RECONNECTING

  • Use the Tools > Enable Administrative Tools menu to turn to turn on the Administrative Tools menu.
  • You will be prompted to select the Admin Path location. If you already have Admin Tools set up at your facility, then just connect to the centralized location you previously setup. If this is a new setup, then select a new location for the admin path that all computers that will join the Admin Tool are able to access.
  • If you are connecting to an existing Admin Path, you will be prompted to select an existing user group to join. If you are setting Admin Tools up for the first time, you can skip this step.

RESETTING PASSWORDS VIA PROLINK

  • If you need to reset the admin password for QC-CALC Real-Time, the Key Contact for your company will need to contact Prolink.
  • We will need the PSN from the Help > About QC-CALC Real-Time screen of the QC-CALC being used for the reset process.
  • We will supply you with a temporary admin password that can be used to reset the admin password using the Administrative Tools > Change Password menu.

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING

  • How to change the admin password:
    • Use the Administrative Tools > Change Password menu.
    • You will be prompted to enter the current password.
    • Enter your new password twice and then click OK.
  • Do I need to setup Admin Tools again if I am moving from 3.4 to 4.0?
    • No – Your existing admin tools will work in 4.0. You will just need to connect to the existing Admin Path.
