Steps for pairing QC-Gage with a Mahr MicroMar 40 EWRi Micrometer

Prepare QC-Gage

  1. Insert the i-Stick in an available USB port on PC.

  2. Start QC-Gage software and choose the Tools > Global Gages menu.

  3. Press the green plus button on the dialog displayed and the following will appear.

  4. Select Mahr Wireless with the top dropdown.

  5. Enter a friendly name.

  6. Select MicroMar 40 EWRi with the center dropdown.

Prepare Mahr Micrometer

  1. Turn on the micrometer with the red OR button and the screen will appear as shown.

  1. Press and hold the OR button until the word UnLoc appears.

  1. Press and release the red OR button 4 times until the following screen appears. If the screen displays OFF or a number such as d01001 press the 0 ABS button until the dashes appear.

  1. Press and release the red H TOL button.
    A small wireless signal will begin flashing in the upper left corner of the caliper screen.

  1. On the QC-Gage Global Gages Gage Setup screen press the Connect or Assign button.

  1. In a few seconds the wireless symbol on the screen will stop flashing and remain on indicating the gage is now paired to QC-Gage. The Gage ID assigned by QC-Gage will also be displayed.

  1. Press and release the red H TOL button to return to the main screen. The wireless symbol will be displayed in the upper left corner indicating that the gage is paired and ready to send. The Connect or Assign button on QC-Gage screen will now display “Connected”.

  1. Press the red H TOL on the mic and observe the value displayed on the mic now showing in the box next to the Get Value button on the QC-Gage Gage Setup screen. The serial number of the gage should also be displayed above the Get Value button (newer revisions of MicroMar).

  1. In QC-Gage, press OK twice to return to the main screen of QC-Gage.

  1. Access the gage in the normal manner when setting up Spec Plans.
