Removing a Characteristic from a Part File:
- In QC-CALC go to File > Properties > Modify Database Structure...
- Select the Database Settings tab
- Alter the number of machine characteristics by the amount you want to remove. For example, in the above picture there was originally 3 Machine characteristics. To remove 1 characteristic, a 2 is entered.
- Select the OK button
- Select Yes when you are presented with this:
- On the next screen, move to the box on the right only the characteristics you wish to keep using the
and 
buttons
- Select the OK button when you are finished.
- QC-CALC Real-Time will reload your part file
How to reorder characterstics in a part file
- In QC-CALC go to File > Properties > Modify Database Structure...
- Select the Database Settings tab
- Select (check) Change Order Of... Characteristics:
- On the next screen, use the
and 
buttons to change the order of your characteristics
- Select the OK button
- QC-CALC Real-Time will reload your part file
NOTE: If you remove or reorder the characteristics in your part file, then you MUST do the same in the part program in your inspection software. If you do not do this, the next time you run your program you will get new characteristics in the part file with duplicate labels because QC-CALC Real-Time matches up the incoming characteristics based on their order, not based on the labels.
