Why Upgrade from 3.4 to V4.3 QC-CALC Real-Time, SPC, QC-Gage or GageStation?
Brief history, V3.4 was released in 2013, V4.0 was released in September of 2018, and V4.1 was released in June 2023. V4.3 is slated for a September 2024 release.
What’s New in V4.x versions? Quite a few things:
- Development of QCQ file – QCQ files contain all needed information about the part file. Unlike QCC files that also need a QCN and other files providing faster response.
- Direct communication to a database on your SQL Server – All data in one file
- In SQL all part files are interrelated. Search not only by part number, but across all parts for a particular machine or operator, etc.
- UI layout can be customized - Panels can be set to flyout mode or moved around
- Improved Administrative capabilities to set permissions by individual and centralized database management.
- Greater ability for more users to see the data in different ways with our QC-Mobile product
- ERS will be rebranded as QC-CALC SPC Pro with many more reporting options including scheduling
- Data changes are tracked automatically. The ability to group some parts in a unique Category or Location
- 4.3 will be introducing more enhancements including histograms in Real-Time

If I am running V3.4, what are my upgrade options:
If using Windows XP:
· Prolink Software newer than V3.4 does not run on XP.
· So why upgrade? By purchasing the upgrade and maintenance, you will be eligible to install V4.3 when the PC is upgraded/replaced with a Windows 10/11 operating system
If using Windows 7 & 8
· You will be able to run up to V4.0 on Windows 7 & 8
· So why upgrade? By purchasing the upgrade and maintenance, you will be eligible to install V4.3 when the PC is upgraded/ replaced with a Windows 10/11 operating system
If using Windows 10 & 11
· You will be able to run V4.3 of Real-Time, SPC Pro, QC-Calc Monitor, QC-Gage and Gage Station in Windows 10 & 11
